Education and Experience
Kelsey graduated from the University of La Verne with a Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies where she earned her Paralegal Certificate. Kelsey was inducted into the Alpha Chi National Honor Society as well as the Lambda Epsilon Chi National Honor Society in Paralegal/Legal Studies. Upon graduation, Kelsey immediately started work as a Paralegal in a well-respected Orange County Elder Law Firm where she spent all her time and energy absorbing a vast legal knowledge in trust and estate matters. She has been working as a Contract Paralegal, serving attorneys all over California, since 2020. Kelsey graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western State College of Law, first in her class, earning her Juris Doctor degree and took the July 2024 California Bar Exam. Kelsey is now a licensed California attorney. Kelsey also earned her black belt in karate in November 2023, and in her (very limited) free time, she is almost certainly at the dojo.
Kelsey's experience includes, but is not limited to:
- Drafting estate planning documents for clients with all different needs
- Conducting Trust Administrations from start to finish including: Notification by Trustee, 13100 Declarations, Real Property Transfers, Distribution Agreements, etc.
- Preparing and filing all necessary documents to open a Probate and providing full case management support after initial filing through final distribution and discharge
- Drafting various Probate Court petitions, including, but not limited to, Heggstad/850 Petitions, Petitions to Fill a Trustee Vacancy, Petitions to Modify a Trust, and Spousal Property Petitions
- Researching and identifying appropriate judicial decisions relevant to cases and delivering analysis and assessments to supervising attorneys
- Developing highly researched, articulate, and polished legal documents, including motions and briefs, to support litigation processes and court proceedings

Maribel is a graduate of the University of California Riverside where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy Law and Society. At Riverside Community College, Maribel graduated with an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies, where she was inducted into the Lambda Epsilon Chi National Honor Society in Paralegal/Legal Studies Studies. Upon graduation, Maribel immediately started to work as a Paralegal at a Law Firm in Riverside County. At this firm, she was responsible for handling all probate and estate matters. She has been working as a Contract Paralegal, serving attorneys all over California, since 2012. Maribel enjoys volunteering at her local senior center and her children’s schools in her spare time.

- Preparing and filing Probate Documents from initial intake through final distribution
- Preparing probate code compliant estate accountings
- Preparing estate planning documents, including Trusts, Wills, Powers of Attorneys, and Deeds
